Kele Okereke and Olly Alexander of Bloc Party
and Years & Years
will have you hooked on their new collaboration, "Grounds for Resentment." The indie rock sound of Kele and the smooth croon of Alexander's voice work together to create something that is unlike anything they've done before.
Okereke actually stated that he wanted to sing a "romantic duet" with Alexander. When speaking with The Guardian,
he said he "couldn't think of a precedent of any out gay musicians singing a love song to one another without having to hide behind codes." And that is exactly what they did. The song is off of Okereke's forthcoming album Fatherland
, out October 6th.
