When
Bob Dylan released "Duquesne Whistle," the first song of his upcoming album, a few days ago, we held off on posting about it. After all, it's just a slow-moving ragtime ditty and Dylan is really just a barely recognizable picture of what he was forty years ago. But after watching the song's accompanying video, we couldn't
not write about it.
This video has an A and a B story, or rather, an A story and a bunch of shots of Bob Dylan walking around with transvestites and Hispanic gang members. Anyways, the A story is like a sick version of
500 Days of Summer, with Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Zooey Deschanel stand-ins and everything. Except in this video, JGL's character is a dancing, psychopathic stalker whose lecherous ways lead to him getting his legs pummeled by baseball bats. Wow, Bob Dylan is crazy.
