Every once in a while, everybody needs some heavy, experimental angst rock. When you spend the majority of your day like us, sorting through armies of indistinguishable "folk-rock" groups like a laundry load of full of near-identical socks, sometimes you crave trippy, mind-bending rock. We're using today's Single Serving as our sonic stress ball as we share with you a track from Atlanta-based O'Brother's latest full-length, Disillusion, released earlier this week.

With ghoulish, guitar-driven tones similar to those of greats like Queens of the Stone Age, O'Brother can give lovers of this once-prominent rock genre a glimmer of hope that a youthful presence still looms.

Listen to "Transience"...

Disillusion is out now via Triple Crown Records. Get your copy here.
