BAEBLE BAE ALERT: Joe Jonas' Transformation From 'Camp Rock' to Sex Icon

Joesph Adam Jonas is now 28 years old. For the past eleven years, Joe has grown up before our eyes. From spiky hair and skinny ties, to breaking up with Taylor Swift via a 27 second voicemail, to his starring role as Shane Gray in Camp Rock and Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam, we have seen Joe through the good, the bad, and the ugly. Congrats on surviving for 28 years, Joe.

    2006:

Look at this vintage Jonas Brothers video. There is so much happening here. First of all, Nick, why are you wearing a winter coat and gloves inside? Joe just wanted a talented, tough, blonde girl that knew how to have a good time. And Ed Hardy… I mean Kevin…. Yikes.

    2007:

This is the Joe Jonas that girls across the world fell in love with. Who could resist that fedora/vest combo? Or the flick of those overly ironed bangs? The flare jeans and crisp white sneakers?

Well, I could. I was a Nick girl. But this about Joe, not Nick, so let's move on.

    2008:

2008 was a big year for Joe and his brothers. This is the year that Joe (and Nick and Kevin, but mostly Joe) graced our televisions in Camp Rock.

This scene made girls everywhere swoon. Shane was singing a song to Mitchie (Demi Lovato), about Mitchie and he didn't even know it! Looking back on it now, it's not all that romantic since Shane was a total jerk up until this point and Mitchie was lying to him about her identity, but god, were we jealous we weren't the ones being serenaded by a boy in extremely tight pants.

"Burnin' Up" is another gift we received in 2008. So many white skinny jeans, so many fake mustaches. You're right, Joe. Those girls were looking at you. Except me. All Nick all the time.

And of course, the phone call. Taylor threw so much shade in this video that was originally uploaded to Myspace. 2008, everyone.

    2009:

In 2009, Joe and his brothers entered their "blazers and suits as casual-wear" phase. This coincided with their Disney Channel TV show, JONAS (called JONAS L.A. in its second and final season) so it was documented for us very well.

Sadly, 2009 was also the year the final Jonas Brothers album, Lines, Vines, and Trying Times was released. With the album came Joe finally embracing those beautiful curls. Watch him and his curls bounce around in this video for "Paranoid" (which is one of the best Jonas Brothers songs, btw.)

    2010:

Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam was our final taste of Disney Joe. It was bittersweet.

    2011:

The year Joe went solo. Unfortunately, it wasn't very impressive and not much else happened but if you wanted to see what he looked like this year, here's a video for his first solo single.

It's not good. I've got nothing else to say, I'm sorry.

    2013:

Joe was supposed to kiss and makeup with his brothers and release another album as the Jonas Brothers.

They showed some band prep (like a stint of shows in Russia) on Kevin's reality show, Married to Jonas. The Brothers even released a single and a video! But then they cancelled all their tour dates and never got back together.

But, Joe was curlier than ever, and it looked like his legs might even be getting some circulation!

    2014:

In 2014 Joe just posted a bunch of weird stuff on Instagram. Come back next year.

    Can't wait. #unclejoe

    2015:

He became one half of "G.I. Joe" and got to hang with Cara Delevigne!

He rejoined the music world with DNCE! A pop band with sex appeal and catchy choruses.

AND he discovered Snapchat filters. Way to go, Joseph!

    2016:

For Joe, 2016 was the year of the thirst trap, but no one was complaining.

    And accessorized with a padlock...?

    He modeled some more!

Look at that lean. You can feel the confidence just oozing out of those socks and sandals.

Thanks for letting us look at your pretty face and listen to your voice for all these years, Joe. Watching you transform from skinny jean-wearing Camp Rock star to total sex icon has been a pleasure.
