This month alt-rock orchestra
Emanuel and the Fear are going all interdisciplinary, teaming up with visual artists for performances/parties two nights in a row in NYC.
Both nights will include live painting by Gregory Siff, who can often be found painting in the streets; his
blog tells where he can be found on a given day and includes videos of him art-makin'. The first night, August 20th at le Poisson Rouge, will also showcase Andre Tenier of
ArtBattles, a group with an intriguing mission of turning fine art into live entertainment.
Day two moves out to Brooklyn, in the back yard of
Paper Garden Records's house, where in addition to Gregory Siff's arting,
ShowPaper will be inciting some DIY creation. This sounds like more or less the best event ever, a FREE day featuring eight bands and a SWIMMING POOL. And allegedly delicious food. See below for a list of Saturday's bands, and Emanuel and the Fear's tour dates.
