Thom Yorke has a knack for punchy off-center lyricism. That's why when he says stuff like another Radiohead album might kill him, we tend to think of it as metaphorical. Still, in an interview with The Believer, Yorke made it pretty clear none of the guys were too keen on diving into another album. "None of us want to go into that creative hoo-ha of a long-play record again," he said. "Not straight off ... It worked with In Rainbows because we had a real fixed idea about where we were going. But we've all said that we can't possibly dive into that again. It'll kill us."
Well, we're not believers. Of course new Radiohead material will trickle out of the artistic cease-fire. The boys recently released a song in tribute to Harry Patch, the last surviving WWI vet in Great Britain, who passed away at the impressive age of 111. Yorke announced on Deadairspace that the song would be sold through the site, with all proceeds going to the British legions. The track is a meloncholic beauty, with Thom's croon supported by some particularly poignant string arrangements by Jonny Greenwood. Check out the track through the link below.
