Through a grassroots distribution strategy Atoms For Peace
played an exclusive set at an LA venue that was only identified as Club AMOK (in actuality it was a place called Fais Do-Do). The set was a live rehearsal for the band's upcoming world tour, which begins in Paris tomorrow. The tour snakes through Europe, hops across the pond for a quick stint in the U.S, and finishes off in Osaka, Japan.
The live footage from the LA performance features a lot of what you'd expect from the supegroup. Yes, Thom Yorke dances around frantically, flailing his limbs without a care in the world. Still, his voice sounds incredible. Flea lays down some heavy bass lines, and Nigel Godrich releases the ominous yet ambient tones that accompany Yorke's paranoid lyrics perfectly. And, if you've never heard an electric xylophone, you can pop that cherry by checking out "Default" below. If that doesn't sell you on this great live footage, I don't know what will.
