Recently it seems the majority of remixes I've come across consist of someone I haven't heard of scrambling the work of a charting artist, a la Bassnecter turning some screws on Ellie Goulding's dance wonder, "Lights". So it's of great surprise to hear Everything Everything's recent take on Ben Howard's "Old Pine"; the most recent single from the British songwriter's debut album Every Kingdom. The song is a soft acoustic track characterized by Howard's wispy vocals and mellow guitar. Its' remix is a far cry from that. Even he seems to like it; he recently posted on his Facebook, "We love it. Great job lads!". Hear what impressed him below.
