Bloc Party are inching closer to the release of their new LP
Four, and those who've heard the collection (us included) know it's a winner. The band has retraced their steps back from the schizophrenic electrolysis of
Intimacy (not that we didn't love that) and are treading on
Silent Alarm territory. Big, bashful aggressors like
"Octopus",
"3x3," and "Team A" have shown us the band can still write a kinetic dance track, but on "Day Four," the almost title track of the new LP, the band switches gears to mid-tempo pretty potency, with great effect.
"Day Four":
Four is out 8/21 via Frenchkiss.
