British singer-songwriter Billie Marten has released the tender and soul-bearing "Lionhearted," her new single off her upcoming album, Writing of Blues and Yellows. This 17-year-old singer-songwriter processes the voice of someone well beyond her years, as this emotionally stirring track has the musicality and lyricism of someone who's seen the world and then some. It's a quiet and contemplative track, driven by acoustic guitar and Marten's beautifully honest vocals, and yet it packs emotional more depth and power than most artists can achieve in a single song.

Honing in on themes like loneliness and bravery, "Lionhearted" is a gentle yet potent reminder that it's okay to be scared sometimes, as long as you try to overcome your fears. If you ever lived a day in your life, these are themes you can very likely relate to. "Lionhearted" is an absolutely stunning track that shows Marten has mastered the art of putting everything you have into your music, all while other artists her age are only beginning to scratch the surface. This is an impressive showing by the young artist, and is a great indication of the long and successful career she has ahead of her.

Listen to "Lionhearted" for yourself right here, and look out for Writing of Blues and Yellows on September 23.
