Mumford and Sons keyboardist Ben Lovett has recently announced that the band is planning to move into the spirits business. They aren't the only musicians to start making a band brand of alcohol, but with the hype surrounding Mumford and Sons right now who knows where this could lead. However, if they were trying to get Alice Cooper to invest they wouldn't have much luck since he obviously doesn't see the demand for whiskey in their current audience. But look at guys like Jimmy Buffet, he must be making a killing off the Margaritaville franchise, which encompasses the Landshark brewing company, sells Margarita makers (which seems a lot like an overpriced blender to me), has numerous beach side restaurants around the country, hotels, retail outlets, and even has its own casino. Maybe this is the start of something new, and one day the Mumford and Sons Traditional British B 'n B will replace every Holiday Inn Express, and will serve fresh porridge all day, with nothing but delicious Mumford's Whiskey, or maybe some tea, to wash it down.
