It's amazing how far eight legs can take a project, all the way from Texas to
Lollapalooza to the Pacific Ocean. Now the Texas based rock act that "suggest technology just might save us after all" is touring the West coast, starting at Chicago's most infamous festival.
The Octopus Project has been creating a bit of buzz with their "gentle vibes and heavenly Theremin choirs to jaunty basslines and electro-static glitch-grooves" (
Rolling Stone). The band is continuing to support their 2007 release,
Hello, Avalanche, which has brought them a loyal following, not to mention a recent movie spot (Columbia Pictures "21"). We'll see if this avalanche makes it all the way down the mountain. -
