The concept of the new music video for
Foster the People's second single "Helena Beat" is described by lead singer Mark Foster as "
Lord of the Flies meets
Mad Max." Ace Norton (LCD Soundsystem, She and Him, Death Cab for Cutie) directed, the band presents a post-apocolyptic landscape overrun by purposelessly vengeful children. Determined to wreak havoc, the kids attack the frontman and Clockwork Orange-ly rip twenty years from his life and give those years to another, turning him into one of their own. Upbeat song, slightly unsettling video, nonetheless a great contribution from FTP. Check out the video below.
