Maybe it's bad timing, "Weird Al" did just release his star studded and hilarious Pharrell inspired parody video "Tacky"
only last week. Maybe Pharrell in a white fedora just doesn't cut it in a post Bullwinkle world. Or maybe, just maybe, I don't want to watch Miley Cyrus not-twerking ever again. For all the grief she caught this year for shaking that ass all up on Robin Thicke at MTV's VMAs, and large steel wrecking balls, and former Presidents, and a host of other animate and inanimate objects around the world, the fact is that I just don't care about her when she's doing anything else.
The video for "Come And Get It Bae" the Cyrus infused track off Pharrell's massively successful G I R L S
album dropped this morning like a drop in the bucket. Aside from Miley's weird head gear (at least she's picking up the slack somewhere — get it together Pharrell) the whole thing is just kind of, well, dull. Pharrell, lover of girls, stands behind the camera while a few normally dressed girls bust out a few normal dance moves. Full disclosure: there is twerking. But when it's done in an age appropriate setting and no one is wearing lycra it just doesn't have the same effect.
Watch the video below and yearn for a time when Miley Cyrus made you want to puke and Pharrell's hats were stupid:
SNOOZE. Don't worry, this will wake you up:
