We've all been there; late, on a Saturday night, emotional, accusatory, wearing a wedding dress, and telling strangers our most intimate relationship messes. No? So, just me and Bey then?
This Saturday the "On The Run" Tour pit stopped in Ohio, where Yoncé whipped out a condemning and emotional rendition of her song "Resentment", in which she either made a few Freudian slips or let us all in on a little bit of trouble in the Kingdom. Rumors of Jay Z's infidelity have been swirling since the Solange incident, including suggestions of a long-term sugar daddy affair between the rapper and the once kind of sort of relevant Mya. So when Bey showed up on stage all dressed in white with a few choice lyrical edits one can only assume the worst: Yoncé ain't been all on his mouth like liquor.
The song's original lyrics:
"I'll always remember feeling like I was no good / Like I couldn't do it for you like your mistress could / Been ridin' with you for six years ... / I gotta look at her in her eyes and see shes had half of me / How could you lie?"
Beyoncé's Ohio special:
"I'll always remember feeling like I was no good / Like I couldn't do it for you like that whack bitch could / Been ridin' with you for twelve years ... / I gotta look at her in her eyes and see she's had half of me / She ain't even half of me / That bitch will never be"
The song is a few years old, so the numerical update may not seem like too much of an indicator... except that when the song initially came out they'd been together for four years, so the number six was nothing but a noun. Twelve years though? Well that's exactly how long she been ridin' with Hov.
Full disclosure: I will not be taking this divorce well. So, if you guys break up does that at least mean we all get two Christmases?
