It isn't often that you hear an artist create a unique cover of one of his own songs. Ben Gibbard of Death Cab For Cutie and The Postal Service has done just that. By partnering up with Brett Nelson, bassist for Built To Spill, and his group Electronic Anthology Project, the duo was able to put a new-age electronic spin on the Death Cab songs "Soul Meets Body" (off 2005's Plans) and "Champagne From A Paper Cup" (off 1998's Something About Airplanes). Both of these re-imagined tracks are available for digital download now.

Below, you will find the audio stream for "Soul Meets Body". Hardcore Ben Gibbard fans will be pleased to hear that the new version sounds like the same song if it had been released by The Postal Service rather than Death Cab For Cutie. You be the judge of which one's got the upper hand.
