Picture your Sunday: a late start, an extravagant brunch, your Sunday's best clothes, and a trip to the Williamsburg waterfront for dodgeball, a giant slip 'n' slide, and seeing artists like The Dirty Projectors, Grizzly Bear, Girl Talk, Simian Mobile Disco, Dan Deacon, Trail of Dead and many, many more, all for free. Wait, what?
Yes, you read correctly. Despite the close of McCarren Park Pool, the ritual of the indie rock drenched Jelly Pool Parties continues this year at its new location on the Williamsburg Waterfront (East River State Park, 90 Kent Ave. @ N9th, Brooklyn) every Sunday from July 12th to August 30th. The new location doesn't just bring breathtaking views of the Manhattan skyline and plenty of summer games for those too long in-between band times, but also a greater capacity to suit the incredible line up that promises non-stop dance parties and nearly every painfully hip and painfully brilliant artist of the past few years without needing to spend a penny less on those all important PBRs sure to populate the grounds.
