Sweltering heat, the pungent pangs of port-o-potties (alliteration much?), and crowds of hungry indie-rock-loving folks swarmed sweatily to Coney Island this weekend for The Village Voice's 10th annual Siren Festival. I skipped the obligatory Nathan's hotdog, avoided alcohol for fear of dehydration, and snapped sweet sets by the Floridian baby-faced dudes in Surfer Blood and the trio of silly hot messes in Harlem. -
