Arctic Monkeys Go Old-School With Misnomer-ed '2013'

While Alex Turner repeats, "It's 2013 all across the galaxy," and name-drops Instagram and Twitter, on the new Arctic Monkeys track "2013", the song opens up with a heavy riff that could easily be Jack White doing his best Mississippi Delta blues impersonation. While "2013" won't be on their upcoming album AM (9/10), it is a surefire sign that the band is trying to alter their sound a little more since 2011's Suck It and See. Matt Helders flawlessly handles all of the time-signature shifts, and things even take a psychedelic turn with a 70s-style guitar solo. Listen below.

Arctic Monkeys' AM is due out September 10th on Domino.
