Coexist's artwork above
One of the most highly anticipated albums of the year, Coexist
by The xx
, is starting to fall into place. From live sneak peeks
this spring, to the studio version of album opener "Angels," The xx's sophomore album is looking really good. Kind of like that kid in school that no one noticed until they took off their glasses and let their hair down at the prom. Except in an understated, reverb-y, kind of sad, kind of sexy way... I'm losing the analogy here, but what I'm trying to say is that this album is going to rule.
Listen to the Romy Croft-led track "Angels," which will kick off the band's second full-length. It's a gentle love song that keeps with the theme of the trio's first album. But that's encouraging news from a group that has by no means worn out their welcome. Check out the track below, along with dates from The xx's ongoing massive tour. Coexist
is out on September 10th via Young Turks.
