Panda Bear, who we all know and love from his work with
Animal Collective and his equally accomplished solo material, is gearing up for the September release of new album
Tomboy and, as he did in the lead-up to 2007's
Person Pitch, is releasing a series of singles before the album drops.
The first of these singles, the "Tomboy" 7" with b-side "Slow Motion", is out today though if you don't have it by now, you're probably out of luck as "Tomboy", like the other singles, is only available in limited edition vinyl. Lucky for you, the two tracks seem to be making the rounds on the internet today so everything's not lost. Lucky for me, I pre-ordered the 7" so I have a nice physical object to caress and admire.
You can also catch PB on a few select tour dates over the next few months, including a stop at NYC's Governor's Island. Dates below. -
