PUBLIC ACCESS T.V.

We have written about Public Access T.V numerous times in the past few months, and with good reason; our slogan here at Baeble Music is "Know Who's Next," and I'm telling you, these guys are the real deal. We have already covered what makes their recordings and videos so great, but this was our first time getting to see them live and they did not disappoint. The energy and freshness in their recordings are even more evident in a live setting, as frontman John Eatherly pumps his guitar with laid back swagger while the other members take turns providing vocals. There's a reason why they are so often compared to The Strokes, but in light of their ongoing decline, you may want to start redirecting the love and energy you had for The Strokes towards these guys, they will not let you down. I have seen and heard the future voices of the New York City scene, and it's Public Access T.V.

THE LONDON SOULS

I saw The London Souls a couple years back at a show where my friends, Bad Faces were playing, and at the time, they were a trio. Since then, Tash and Chris have started performing as a duo, with no decline in quality whatsoever. Taking musical inspiration from groups like Cream and Led Zeppelin, along with vocal harmonies a lot like the Hollies or the Beatles, the group has been rather well known for their amazing vintage energy all over Brooklyn for almost 8 years. However, with the release of last year's Here Come The Girls, the rest of the country (and soon the world) is starting to catch on to what us locals have known for years; The London Souls are something we NEED! Authentic retro rock is hard to come by, and few make it sound as fresh as Tash and Chris.

BOB MOSES

*NEW OBSESSION ALERT!*
Bob Moses is one of the greatest live performances I have ever had the immense pleasure of witnessing. The Canadian electronic band's three EP's and newly released debut Days Gone By are some fantastic collections of sounds that you should definitely check out, but their live show is... indescribable. The duo of Tom Howie and Jimmy Vallance (who perform with a live drummer) under the collective name, Bob Moses summed it up better than I ever could, "Our live show combines what a DJ does with a rock band. Everything flows together in a continuous mix for the dancefloor, but it's all our own original music, with live vocals and guitar. Then again, we came out of a scene that was trying to change what dance music is that pushed beyond the expected sonic spectrum." Let me say, that's exactly what they accomplish, 100%!
