Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers Unleash New Hard-Rockin' Tune

With so many contemporary acts currently channeling the 70s/80s Americana rock sound, its founding fathers Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers couldn't have chosen a better time to revisit their roots for their forthcoming, 16th studio record Hypnotic Eye. In an interview with Rolling Stone Petty said, "We hadn't made a straight hard-rockin' record, from beginning to end in a long time."

"American Dream Plan B", the recently revealed single, burns with a classic-styled distorted riff and the retro rudeness rock fans have surely been craving for years. And a guitar solo? When was the last time you heard one of those?!

Hypnotic Eye is due out July 29th on Reprise.
