Last month, our friends at Cutty Sark
invited us to capture an evening of insidious happenings at Brooklyn Bowl
as part of the inaugural Cutty Sark Presents Series
. There was booze, there was bowling, and most importantly, there were bands. Incredible bands, actually, each bringing their own unique offering of electric energy to the stage.
The evening's headliner was Drowners
; a hometown NYC band with a voracious appetite for both high flying punk energy and head-catching melodies. The band's 2014 self-titled debut channels the ghosts of garage rock's storied past. If you're a fan of The Strokes or The Libertines, this self-proclaimed "misery with a danceable beat" will suit you nicely. That kind of thing went down rather nicely at Cutty Presents. Have a look at our chat with the boys below.
Cutty Sark is gearing up for another 3 band offering of music tomorrow night. Small Black, Widowspeak, and Eternal Summers are slated to take Brooklyn Bowls stage as part of the latest Cutty Sark Presents. Enter for your chance to win a pair of tickets and a Cutty Sark Prize Crate.
