Color Palette's Lush New Single 'Heartless'

    Blending the atmospheric consistency of Cocteau Twins with the qualities from modern day pop outfits like Wild Nothing and Washed Out, Color Palette paints a vivid and luminous auditory portrait. The track "Heartless", which we're premiering today, combines a lively riff with an underlying yet robust synth line reminiscent of the tail end of Joy Division's "Love Will Tear Us Apart". The foot-tapping, head-bobbing cut contains production that creates a rich and layered song consistency, encapsulating the groups refined sound.

    After vocalist Jay Nemeyer's former group The Silver Liners disbanded, Color Pallete was born. With a quick pickup of Jon Jester on percussion and Nico Grossfeld on bass, the group set out to LA, where they set out to record their debut album, set to release later this summer. The DC outfit has toured extensively throughout their hometown with stops at The Velvet Lounge and multiple appearances at the Rock & Roll Hotel. Take a listen to our premiere of "Heartless" below:
