  • Premiere: Music Video for Easy Lover's End of the Season
We're excited to premiere the very latest from Kali Halliway and Jeremy Wimmer, the soulful dreamers behind Easy Lover. Their music video for the popular tune "End of the Season" is just as creative and beautifully sad as the song that inspired it, full of sullied crepe ribbons and lost lovers. But heartbreak takes on a whole new kind of whimsy when viewed through the eyes of this imaginative duo.
We interviewed the artists, who said of their video "We worked with a really amazing director named Stosh Mintek who talked us through a lot of stuff -- what the song meant to each of us, how he heard the song sonically and lyrically, what we wanted the video to look like -- and then he came up with a treatment that we both loved....He's our fairy godmother." There's certainly a magic to the video -- you move through a landscape of memories in a visual stream of consciousness. Meanwhile, singer Kali Holloway stares out at you with an unnervingly steady gaze, even as she bares her soul.

It's no surprise that this song has been remixed by some big-players in the dance music scene, including Rewards and Gavin Rossum (DFA). Of their success, the artists humbly say that they "loved hearing the ways that people reinterpreted the song, which I think is kind of an honor to experience. You can get really used to the sound of your own voice, so to speak. Hearing other people's takes on your music just gives you new perspective." Their freshness and honesty's no front, there's nothing packaged or Instagramed about this duo. Enjoy the video right here on Baeble!
