The massively popular Game of Thrones has been captivating audiences for the past four seasons with its stories of the medieval-like land of Westeros, and now viewers have another way to experience days of yore with an 80s VHS version of the show's intro. Complete with grainy images and bright cartoon-like graphics a la Miami Vice, this intro is anything but new and improved, and will remind you why you love DVD's. And whoever made this video managed to find probably the only scenes of the characters smiling, and their happy faces along with the upbeat, drum heavy remix of the shows introductory music make the show almost recognizable—you feel more like you're about to watch a pseudo-dramatic tale of royalty instead of the gruesome and shocking HBO hit. So let's all be happy that its 2014 and we get to watch the stabbing, beheading, and all the other manors of killing in Game of Thrones with 21st century clarity, and not with the corny, fuzzy undertone of the 1980s. Watch the video below.
