In his Baeble review of Sam Smith's debut LP In The Lonely Hour, Adlan Jackson described the feeling of being transported to the backseat of his mom's car, listening to her radio as a child. It's a flashback that most 80s and 90s kids will experience when hearing the singer whose voice chillingly resembles the great sounds of R&B past. But how does his voice stand up against one of history's finest? Sadly, we'll never hear a Sam Smith-Whitney Houston duet, but the UK newcomer's decelerated cover of Whitney's 1985 love pop classic "How Will I Know" gives us a closer glimpse.
