Anyone familiar with
Shara Worden, the multi-instrumental front-woman behind the eclectic avant indie-folk rock project
My Brightest Diamond? If you're a fan, or you've just heard good things, get ready: the bands sophomore album,
A Thousand Sharks Teeth, is out today on
Asthmatic Kitty Records.
My Brightest Diamond blends so many genres, it leaves our head spinning (in a good way). We're also excited to announce a video about the
creation of the album, as well as a CD release party at the
Blender Theater tonight. It's a "pierrot punk" party (which apparently equates to dressing in black and white, a la punks, in france, circa 1911). Did we mention there will be a puppet show? Sounds interesting, to say the least.
Check out a track from
Sharks Teeth below, catch the show, and pick up the album. -
