Mumford and Sons don't seem to have a problem looking everywhere and anywhere for musical inspiration. Their cover of
The National's "England" off
High Violet is a testament to their appreciation for a good tune, as well as their respect for The National. The last cover they took on was Vampire Weekend's "Cousins," which went over surprisingly well. "England" went even better. In fact, if you had never even known The National existed, you'd most-likely assume this cover was another nifty Mumford & Sons song. Maybe it's the mandolin, or the upright bass. Or maybe it's the scratchy vocals. Whatever it is, these guys really have a knack for owning their music, even if it's not technically theirs.
Don't forget to watch them owning their own music in our epic
Mumford and Sons full concert video.
