The Low Anthem are all around. Just recently we
Interviewed the band, and also featured them in our
Baeble Guest Apartment. We are not the only ones who have spotted them. So have The New York Times,
in a recent article. The flood of musical hymns that create the abstract, folk sound of The Low Anthem make them the band to watch out for. The Rhode Island band, consisting of three members,
Ben Knox Miller,
Jeff Prystowsky and
Jocie Adams,released their third album,
Oh My God, Charlie Darwin on June 9th, 2009. Just as essential as the three members of the band are the endless amount of instruments The Low Anthem uses to create their ethereal sound. The band travels with a portable pump organ, a scrapmetal drumkit, clarinets, an upright bass, a horn and a plentiful amount of harmonicas. Although it might be a lot to carry, the struggle is definitely worth it. The result of this instrument combination creates an album that serves as a must have on a nature hike. If you want a blissful and dreamy night, it's best that you check out The Low Anthem
