Myspace Aims Young For Their Musical Relaunch

Today, Facebook's old foe Myspace relaunched the newest version of itself, and this time around it's wrangled a marketing focus. Rather than a meeting ground for creeps, Myspace has focused itself as a creative community with an emphasis on music, and in particular, the younger generation of musicians. This was evident in the series of promo clips/commercials made by filmmaker/photographer Ryan McGinley, which featured a bucket load of today's hippest young talent like DIIV, Sky Ferriera, Ryan Hemsworth, Charli XCX, and more. Also included in the commercial is a 40-year-old Pharrell, but that's okay, he's looked the same since 1992.

Watch the commercials below, both featuring the music of two riotous young bands we've recently been acquainted with - The Orwells ("Mallrats La La La") and FIDLAR ("5 to 9").





The new Myspace will feature a streaming music library, will allow all users to easily upload and share their own music, and more.
