Tiny Vipers, aka
Jesy Fortino, is a dark acoustic songstress with songs that stand on the beauty of her voice and words. After her first album,
Hands Across the Void, was released in 2007, Fortino toured across Europe and through the United States. Her performances were so compelling that a still from her show became the cover of the
Burn to Shine 5: Seattle DVD.
The Seattle based musician began recording her new album,
Life on Earth, to be released in July on
Sub Pop this year. She worked with
Andrew Hernandez on the recording in an analog studio in Austin, Texas, to help preserve the natural beauty and grace of her work.
Far from taking a break from her work, however, Tiny Vipers is currently on tour across the US, and soon to be playing in Europe. Watch her elegant, intimate folk on one of her dates below. -
