California based indie-pop duo, Bows, are on the rise, both figuratively and literally. The band's forthcoming LP, The Day We Left dropping on May 27th, is an ambitious concept album that explores cosmic love and feelings of displacement through an allegorical journey into the galactic unknown.

Comprised of Kaila McIntyre-Bader (vocals, keys) and Luke Bace (bass, guitar, synths), Bows drives a seemingly heavy narrative with the new record, but a track like, "Prepare for Landing" captures the duos lighthearted, creative disposition even under the songs precarious circumstances. The band executes their distinctive sound with buoyant, twinkling melodies and effervescent soundscapes that seem to flutter over Bader's effeminate vocals.
