"It's a cruel, cruel world to face on your own." Genre-bending trio Gossip's lyrics ring true during the chorus for their single "Heavy Cross" -- the song captures a gritty look at individual stength when against the ropes. The vocals are strong and unforgiving while the lyrics capture a heartwrenching account of fear and loneliness. The live version, below, shows the strength of the song from the powerful performance, to the emotional reactions from many of the audience members. The playfulness and interactions with the crowd is this performance's true strength. What better way to prove your song resonates with people than showing their raw reactions to the words you wrote? Gossip delivers for its fans.

Chicago-born hip-hop chameleon K.Flay sample's the chorus in her single "heavy CROSS OUT." In a live session with Baeble, K.Flay puts a spin on the message and plays in out to a new, amped-up beat. While Gossip's message longs for human interaction screaming "it's hard without you," K.Flay takes the world on her shoulders with "it's hard for me." Both tracks are catchy and powerful and you have to appluad K.Flay for making the message hers. Overall, a job well done for both songs.
