The new Bleachers
album is almost here finally,
and, based on everything Jack Antonoff has put out so far ahead of its release, it's bound to be the summer's ultimate synth-pop record. Today, Antonoff revealed "I Miss Those Days," a joyous celebration of youthful memories. "You talk about getting older, but there's so much we haven't done yet,"
Antonoff sings over a catchy, synth-infused melody. "It's all coming back now, that the feeling isn't over/ And I know I was lost, but I miss those days."
The lyrics suggest a growing man missing the reckless abandon of his younger years, despite feeling at times like he was "not supposed to survive." It's a shamelessly fun song, and it is some of the best music Antonoff has put out so dar.
Bleachers' sophomore album, Gone Now,
is out on June 2nd.
