  • Our Top 5 Anticipated June Albums
June is going to be a big month for music. Not only does it start with a bang at Bonnaroo, but we've got a whole gaggle of amazing albums to look forward to. We've singled out the five albums we're anticipating most. Listen to a track from each, below.

    1. Japandroids, Celebration Rock (6/5)

Few things can compare to the unbridled energy (read: distortion) of this power-duo. Their new album promises to be full of fist-pumping, chant friendly anthems to blast out your car window.

    2. Hot Chip, In Our Heads (6/12)

Hot Chip have a great legacy to uphold. The band has one of the only truly unique and specific sounds in electronic music, and first single "Night & Day" confirms our suspicions that they're sticking to the freak-bleep formula. If it ain't broke...

    3. Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, Trouble (6/12)

You can't deny the goofy schtick of TEED, especially considering his tunes are top notch dance-floor fodder. Finally moving past his singles and releasing a proper disc means we'll get a sense of what Orlando Higginbottom can do with the long form.

    4. The Tallest Man On Earth, There's No Leaving Now (6/11)

It might just be us, but we could listen to Kristian Matsson play all day, every day, and never get tired of it. A new collection of songs sounds like Christmas is coming early.

    5. Friends, Manifest! (6/5)

Although at one point the blog hype for this Brooklyn indie-funk group was palpable, they've largely dropped out of the conversation of late. That hasn't squashed our curiosity-- not yet, anyway-- and we're wondering if the snappy single success of early songs like "I'm His Girl" and "Friend Crush" can be escalated into full length territory.
