You gotta hand it to the kid, Miley can carry a tune. Last night her Bangerz tour stopped in Belfast, and the little "lady" whipped out a shockingly lovely rendition of The Smiths' "There Is A Light That Never Goes Out". I mean, eyes closed the cover lends an elegant feminine tenderness to an already sentimental song. Watch the clip, however, and 'elegant' 'feminine' and 'tender' are probably three of the last words I would use to describe her performance. Miley rock star style swaggers in the tacky tiny outfit of the night across the stage — so elegant and feminine are out — and picks up her rhinestone studded cellphone to take a selfie — so there goes tenderness as well. Look girl, I'm bored with Morrissey too, but maybe pick another Irish legend you can get behind. I suppose Sinead O'Connor is off the table, but how are you and Bono these days?
Watch a fan clip, or if you'd like a pleasant experience, just close your eyes and listen.
