After a triumphant return to the studio, Kesha and Zedd have collaborated on the new and noteworthy song entitled, True Colors. On the dazzling track, Kesha pushes her voice to its fullest potential, creating an operatic sound that leads Zedds cinematic, orchestral synths. Since losing a highly publicized sexual assault lawsuit against her former producer, Dr. Luke, the musical soundscape of this timely release has given Kesha a platform to find her voice again
Kesha couldnt be more direct in her desire to attain artistic freedom and her confidence in this track is palpable. Kesha took to Twitter to explain the significance of the song, stating that, "This is more than a song. It's a declaration of my truth," alongside the hashtag #truecolors.
Also an avid Instagram user, Kesha posted a photo of herself looking right at home in the studio. Along with it, was a heartwarming Zedd inspired caption that reads, "Its a miracle when someone gives you a chance at finding your voice again for no reason other than that he is a fucking beautiful person with a heart of gold.
With Kesha at the forefront of the deeply rooted exploitation of female artists within the music industry, this major, no holds barred comeback track, incites a lot of empathy. Overall, there's so much more weight to her take on the original, resulting in a powerful single that any music lover could appreciate.
