    Breanne Duren, of Owl City fame, had a little mini-tour last week in New York to support her new EP "Sparks." We got to check Breanne out 5/2 at Soho House in New York City where the room was intimate and inviting and Breanne's cuteness shined brighter than her gold sequined dress ever could. Breanne sat right down at her keyboard to welcome us to her party with her infectiously cheerful smile, accompanied by her insanely skilled drummer-slash-bassist (at times, both simultaneously), Adam Christgau and guitarist Izaac Burkhart...

    She was adorable and soft spoken; a pretty girl with a pretty voice and a bubblegum personality. At times Duren sounded like a mix of Nelly Furtado and Duffy, but mostly she just sounded like herself, a rawness and a sweetness unique and incomparable to any of today's popstars.

    "Sparks" was released on 5/3. Check out the video for her first single, "Goldmine" (shot in one take with a dance team in a gymnasium) below:
