This weekend's SNL
featured host Sofia Vergara, which is totally hip for tha kidz, but sadly, their impeccable taste in up-and-coming taste-maker favorites seems to have lapsed. We're talking musical act One Direction. Um, who are these kids? How are they already taped up in every thirteen year-old girl's locker? Didn't the "boy band" die in the 90s? DISNEY ZOMBIES.
The episode had a few memorable moments, including the absolute best possible Weekend Update updater, Drunk Uncle. Not his best showing, but definitely his most confusing.
'Almost Pizza' wasn't just almost hilarious! (Gunshot).
"Bein' Quirky" was spot on as usual, if only for the absolutely flawless Michael Cera impression.
And then One Direction did some stuff that looked vaguely like singing and dancing and I was sad. Is this a high-school talent show?
I definitely saw this happen in a made-for-tv movie on ABC Family.
Thank goodness Gilly came out of retirement for one last hurrah.
