Stripped down recordings of sonically ambitious songs are a gamble. You're placing the primary melody and your voice front and center, and there are no production flourishes to hide your musical shortcomings. It's a gamble for most, but for Typhoon
, it's a sure bet.
For Record Store Day, Typhoon is releasing two new piano versions of "Prosthetic Love." We're incredibly happy to be premiering a solo, piano version with Kyle Morton taking lead vocals that is simply electric. Morton's emotional delivery has been giving us chills since we first had the chance to hear this version of an already stellar song. The piano churns forward with urgent intensity as Morton foces you to get lost in the turbulent depths of his voice. It's a powerful way to start off the week.
