Alabama Shakes have been the topic of conversation in musicland for quite some time now-- and that's not just because they're the best CCR cover band we've ever heard. The bluesy group fronted by Brittany Howard is putting Kings Of Leon to shame with their (genuinely) bluesy sound. Next week they'll be releasing their highly anticipated debut album Boys & Girls and the lead off single "Hold On" exudes Southern Rock. The music video does the same, focusing on how powerful this group is and if you close your eyes, you might even think it's John Fogerty singing. When you open them, (belated) April Fools!
