AM Exchange Finds The New In Alt Pop History

We don't have enough genuinely great male vocalists anymore. There are plenty of artists with interesting or unique voices, but minus Sam Smith and Justin Vernon, we are depressingly low on male singers with enormous voices anymore. Daniel Jacobs of AM Exchange could be our alternative pop-rock vocal savior. We're premiering the video for "There's No Reason" today, and it's a perfect blast of 90s arena pop grandiosity.

There's more to Daniel Jacobs and his band than a song that I could easily imagine the Verve turning into a smash hit right after they dropped "Bittersweet Symphony." AM Exchange mixes orchestral chamber rock alongside modern, Brand New-esque guitars to craft a song dipped into alternative radio history with modern, edgier production. Throw in a genuinely unsettling video, and "There's No Reason" could be the sleeper alt-pop hit of the early summer.
