Foster The People
's 2011 album Torches
was nearly perfect... Their 2014 sophomore album Supermodel
wasn't as commercially successful, but what we love about them is how fresh their sound is and how consistent they are with it. They prove this with three new singles, which they dropped today. The first is the feel-good "S.H.C.," which features groovy bass and upbeat, strum-heavy guitars. "Doing It For The Money" has a darker pop anthem, and the trippy "Pay The Man" is a hip-hop tinged track that experiments with glitchy beats. We're happy that Foster The People is back with reliable, crystal clear production and we're excited to see which direction the rest of the record goes in.
