Disconnect From Desire, the second album from avant-pop trio School Of Seven Bells, is set to drop 7/13 on Vagrant/Ghostly.

SVIIB (as it's often abbreviated) is composed of Benjamin Curtis (formerly of Secret Machines) and identical twins Alejandra and Claudia Deheza, (formerly of On!Air!Library!). Their debut Alpinisms garnered critical acclaim from the usual suspects. Now they are ready to follow it up with something a little different.

The album was recorded in the band's home studio, produced by band member Benjamin Curtis and mixed by Jack Joseph Puig at LA's Ocean Way Recording. Despite the title, Desire is said to be a leap forward for the band musically, due to a hunger for a more personal record to engage fans. In addition, the band will play two dates (6/9 and 6/10) at Mercury Lounge in NYC (their hometown) to support the new release. A US tour is said to be in the works, with dates to be announced sometime soon.

Stay tuned for the inevitable single-for-an-email swap, which will occur in approximately, oh, a few weeks or so. Let's make a bet. -joe
