Sorting through the sea of vastly uninteresting press releases, sometimes music writers will miss truly exceptional gems in their email inboxes. Luckily, the folks over at The Quietus were diligently sorting through theirs on Monday morning when musician/professional face painter Natalie Sharp (musically known as Lone Taxidermist) sent a package of her self-inflicted face art. In celebration of Record Store Day, Sharp painted eight album covers on her own face, a process that she claimed required 3-6 hours of work for each album.

Scroll through her collection below which includes Grizzly Bear's Veckatimist and Kraftwerk's Autobahn. Sharp is also available as a for-hire face/body painter in the UK. Check out her site.

Next time you're at a toddler's birthday, try asking the face painter for the cat-themed Illmatic cover...
