With so many obscure and experimental sounds emanating out of Brooklyn these days, I must admit on a personal level that I found it incredibly refreshing to explore the simple sincerity of Mal Blum's fifth album, Tempest In A Teacup. Her latest collection of songs of course offers the straightforward, quirky songwriting and playful acoustic picking her fans have grown to love. A certain song on the album packs an invigorating punch that we're thrilled to hear outta Mal, and we're even more excited to be premiering it on Baeble today.

The song is conveniently called "Brooklyn", and it's a raw and lively musical declaration with pretty orchestral hints. Have a listen below.

Tempest In A Teacup is due out May 7th. Pre-order it now here.
