Henry Thoreau once famously said that "the mass of men lead lives of quiet desparation." He was on that existentialism kick back in the 1800s before Sartre made it cool. We're premiering "What You Are Will Show," a peppy, ukelele number from Finnish singer/songerwriter Peppina that hides a quiet but beautiful existential despair and hope in both its lyrics and innovative video. Peppina is already well-known to fans of Joseph Gordon Levitt's communal TV project, hitRECord, but her gorgeous, Zooey Deschanel-esque voice and the deceptive waters of her lyricism means her future is as bright as her native Scandinavian sun.
