Duo of dreamboats Beach House are readying their fourth full length album Bloom, out via Subpop on May 15. After releasing the album opener "Myth" last month, Beach House released another track, "Lazuli." And from the sound of it, this is probably going to be one hell of a record. Continuing to expand beyond the typical drum machine and dreamy synths of Beach House's foundation, "Lazuli" includes arpeggiating electronic harps and acoustic drums to fill out a huge cinematic soundscape. Victoria Legrand's raspy voice harmonizes in several layers, singing about Lazuli, the blue afghan mineral with a specific gravity of 2.7-2.9. Actually I can't really understand what she's singing about but, yeah, that's what Lazuli is. Pay attention in geology, kids, and you could be as cool as Beach House.
